Since the suspension of Closing 2020, several versions have circulated about what would happen if the coronavirus situation does not allow the tournament to end, some believe that a “mini tournament” should be played between the championship leaders, others annul it, grant the title to the Blue Cross or wait until the last instance and finish the tournament on a regular basis.
The central of Tigers, Diego Reyes, indicated that in the event of a contingency to prevent the Mexican population, Liga MX should not rush with the decision and the tournament should end as planned.

Reyes indicated that the best thing for the rest of the tournament is that double days are played to quickly end the regular phase of the League, as long as the conditions are adequate to play.
“For me the fairest would be to retake the tournament, nor for the championship leader to be champion, the fairest for the teams would be to have double days or adjust the schedule so that in May and June the tournament ends, and hopefully it can end” .
So far, the managers of Liga MX do not plan to cancel the tournament or award the title to the leader of the competition. In the best of scenarios, activity could resume in mid-May and in the worst case until June.
