Three of Karl Lagerfeld’s cars found their new owners for 1.2 million euros

The auction of the late designer’s property took place in Monaco

Three cars, works of art and furniture belonging to legendary designer Karl Lagerfeld, have been sold at auction in Monaco, Sotheby’s auction house said.

Among the most expensive lots were three Rolls-Royce cars, valued at almost 1.2m euros.

A portrait of the famous designer, painted by Japanese artist Takashi Murakami, valued at 80-120,000 euros, sold for 289,800 euros.

A set of sofa furniture and two armchairs was sold for 113,400 euros.

More than a thousand items from the designer’s homes in France and Monaco have been offered at a series of auctions organized by the auction house, BTA reports.
