The plot of the film Three Wishes for Cinderella: It is actually a notorious story of love, courage and a pinch of magic. When Cinderella’s father dies, he must defend himself against the tyrannical stepmother and half-sister. There will also be a meeting with three young men who are prevented from hunting. And there will be three magic… acorns. Bontonfilm has been releasing the Norwegian version of Three Nuts for Cinderella in our cinemas since December 23 under the title Three Wishes for Cinderella.

New Libuše Šafránková?
The fairy tale about Cinderella is extremely popular in the Nordic countries. So much so that, after almost fifty years, Norwegian filmmakers pay tribute to this classic in the form of a new version. They have prepared a more modern story full of beautiful costumes, breathtaking scenery and true Norwegian winters. The film’s director, Cecilie Mosli, approached the remake with respect. Three Nuts for Cinderella is one of her favorite films. She felt honored by the offer of directing, but at the same time she had mixed feelings during her work. The hardest thing was said to be Cinderella. “I needed a fragile actress like Libuše Šafránková. Singer Astrid pulled me down. I believe that she has a similar charm to Libuška and that she will meet the audience’s expectations. Her version of Cinderella evokes the desire to be where she is and to be like her,”Adds Mosli.

And what does the prince’s representative, actor Pavel Trávníček, say about the new version of Cinderella? They do not allow the original version and do not understand why Cinderella gets acorns instead of nuts. They don’t even like the cast. The saying applies here: another region, another morality?

The fact that the Norwegian treatment of Cinderella is different is also proved by the fact that two men kiss briefly in a fairy tale. Of course evoked a number of emotions. Some wanted to cut the scene out of the film, others kept it. And there were also debates on Czech websites. For example, Hanzek wrote on ČSFD.cz: „We somehow don’t bother with LGBT lobbies, which lately have been openly trying (successfully) to implement their perversion into fairy tales for children. It also happens in adult films, but that’s another matter. Let progressiveism give away to our children. ”
A film fan nicknamed Tvrdolín Veliký has condemned such views, and considers them “ignorant.” And how did it all turn out in the end? An uncensored version went to Czech cinemas. The kiss discussed so much is so fleeting and lasts just a little whilethat he really isn’t worth the affair he started.
