In preventive detention three were charged with a kidnapping and alleged hit man for reckoning, after the trace of a person in the Metropolitan region was lost in February, who is still missing.
As detailed by the PDI deputy commissioner, Carlos Orellana, the crime “affected a Chilean citizen, it is presumed by a possible reckoning. This person had been kidnapped at the end of February in the northern sector of the capital and later disappeared. ”
Cristián Suarez, deputy prosecutor, explained that the three detainees were formalized for the crimes of unsuccessful qualified homicide, extortive kidnapping and violation of the arms law. “The court has established the existence of formalized crimes, as well as the existence of founded presumptions of participation with respect to each of the accused,” he said.
According to the prosecutor, it is an activity “typical of the hiring or commissioned crime”.
Currently, new procedures are being carried out to find the whereabouts of the victim.
During the capture of the now accused, the seizure of pistols, submachine guns, ammunition, Gendarmerie plates and policeman’s caps, cell phones and cash.
