The helisurfaces enabled for night flight in the hospitals of the vast Area 3 were inaugurated with three evening ceremonies. From 9 to midnight yesterday the president Luca Ceriscioli participated in the events scheduled in the hospitals of San Severino, Camerino and Civitanova. Present the regional councilor Angelo Sciapichetti, the regional councilor Francesco Micucci, the director of the vast Area 3 Alessandro Maccioni. A total of 147.5 thousand euros were invested, of which over 65 thousand from solidarity text messages (donations after the earthquake).

The regional plan to strengthen these infrastructures, in order to guarantee a widespread operation of the health and civil protection system, currently envisages investments for 44 heli-superherics 24 hours a day: in part already completed, some in progress, others planned. “These installations are part of an overall project that aims to protect communities and strengthen personal services – commented Ceriscioli -. These are the services that approach the citizen, expanding the existing opportunities. The one created by the Region is a network that reduces hospitalization times in the most disadvantaged areas, ensures immediate assistance through 118, strengthens the operation of the regional civil protection system ». Ceriscioli then pointed out that «these helipads will allow the entire region to be connected to the main emergency hub, represented by the Ospedali Riuniti of Torrette di Ancona. The hospital network of the Marche region, made up of excellent structures, needs this fast connection: complex pathologies, such as major trauma, cardiac surgery or even interventional radiology with regard to stroke, are all diseases that are treated, at levels of excellence, in Torrette. Being able to be connected. in minutes, this regional hub meant increasing security across the region. Each hospital becomes a link in a network that finds its fulfillment in the most important hub. For the Marches, for those who come to the Marche, it is a message of great security, a service that, from daytime, will become 24 hours a day throughout the region ».
The helisurfaces of the vast Area 3, already present, have all been adjusted by the Region for night flight, as part of the program that concerns all the Marche helipads. San Severino had previously been prepared for night flights, but minor adaptation works were required, in accordance with ENAC requirements (remaking of platform signage; replacement of grazing lighting fixtures and on the hospital roof; pruning trees e affixing reflective signs on the fence). The total cost was about 6 thousand Euros (of which 4 thousand financed by the Earthquake Reconstruction Office of the Marche with funds from the “Solidarity Sms” of the earthquake). The works were carried out by Elettrica Settempedana snc of San Severino.
The Camerino helipad has been entirely adapted to night flight by carrying out all the specific works necessary: remaking the platform signs; installation of control panel and equipment box; glide indicator; new windsock; grazing lights in addition to improving the access road traffic. The total cost was 70 thousand Euros (of which 61 thousand of solidarity SMS). The design was carried out by Studio 3 Energy Srl of Meda (MB) and the works were carried out by the company Beam Flight srl of Gallarate (VA).
The Civitanova helipad has also been entirely adapted to night flight by carrying out the following works: supply and installation Control panel; construction of electrical circuits for alignment and approach, for grazing lights including the supply and installation of lights, gliding angle, illuminated windsock; realization of the horizontal signs, the entrance bar, the air-conditioned box for containing control and command equipment. overall work was 71 thousand euros. The design was carried out by the engineer Bruno Stronati from Jesi. The works were carried out by SIET Impianti Elettrici Srl of Urbino.
