Three Die Caught in Fire in Hudson Valley – NBC New York (47)

NEW YORK — Three people died during a raging house fire in the Hudson Valley It became so intense that first responders were unable to get in to rescue the victims, despite being told there might be trapped residents, authorities said Thursday.

Police first responded to a call in Highland Avenue just before 1:00 am on Thursday. The house was completely on fire when they arrived.

Neighbors told police the residents might still be inside, but police added officers were unable to enter due to heavy fire conditions. Firefighters immediately began to extinguish the fire and tried to rescue anyone who arrived.

The identities of the victims have not been released.

The investigation is ongoing.
