Mainstay death throw U-23 Indonesian National Team to score a goal made Vietnam U-23 coach Hoang Anh Tuan worried ahead of the final AFF U-23 Cup 2023 at Rayong Stadium, Thailand, Saturday (26/8).

Vietnam has also experienced the threat of a throw from the U-23 Indonesian National Team. In the semifinals of the 2023 SEA Games, last May, two of Indonesia’s goals came from a throw-in by Pratama Arhan.
Hoang Anh Tuan does not deny that throwing into the U-23 Indonesian National Team is really a threat to Vietnam’s defense.
“I cannot explain the team’s plan to face Indonesia’s long throw in the last game [SEA Games] we couldn’t handle it. This is not only a matter of tactics, but also determined by many factors,” Anh Tuan was quoted as saying The Thao 247.
The Indonesian national team has several players who can make throw-ins. In the current Garuda Muda squad, Robi Darwis and Alfeandra Dewangga can make long throws.
Anh Tuan himself believes that the Indonesia vs Vietnam duel in the 2023 AFF U-23 Cup final will be different from meeting in the 2023 SEA Games semifinals. Apart from the two teams having different squads, the experience of the players of the two teams is also different.
“Every match, every tournament is different. It is impossible to compare tomorrow’s match with what happened at the SEA Games. The Vietnam U-23 team will unite and fight together. The players are getting more mature ahead of the 2024 U-23 Asian Cup qualification,” said Anh Tuan.
The kickoff for the Indonesia vs Vietnam match in the 2023 AFF U-23 Cup final will start at 20.00 WIB this evening. This is the two teams meeting in the final of the AFF U-23 Cup. Indonesia and Vietnam have both collected one AFF U-23 Cup title.
