This week the air will warm up to +17 degrees

On Tuesday, short-term precipitation, mostly rain, is expected in many places, and the air temperature will not exceed +10 degrees yet.

Wednesday and Thursday will be mostly dry and sunny. The south, south-east wind will sometimes increase to 9-14 meters per second in gusts. At night, in places in the eastern part of the country, the thermometer will drop one or two degrees below zero, but the maximum temperature in the afternoon will be +11..+15 degrees on Wednesday and +12..+17 degrees on Thursday, cooler air will remain on the Kurzeme coast of the Gulf of Riga.

According to the current forecast, a cold atmospheric front will cross Latvia on Friday night, rain is expected. As the wind shifts from the west, the temperature will drop by several degrees on Friday.

The influence of cyclones is also expected on Easter, rain and sharp temperature fluctuations are possible. Sunday, the last day of March, could also be the warmest day of the month. There is a possibility that the national heat record for March will be broken – +20.8 degrees recorded on March 30, 1968 in Mersrag.

Colder weather is expected to return in early April, possibly with snow.
