Many concerts and festivals are to come in the big cities of the Alpes-Maritimes and the Var, to the delight of tourists and music lovers. A quick overview of this summer’s must-haves, so you don’t miss your favorite artists.

This year again, summer will be festive on the Côte d’Azur. The season and its major cultural events are fast approaching. The programs of certain musical events have already been announced and a number of French-speaking and international artists will be on hand for the occasion. We give you an update on the concerts and festivals of summer 2023.

The first jazz festival in the world does not take place in America, but in Nice. Present every year in the Riviera city since 1948, the Nice Jazz Festival is back this summer on the Place Masséna and at the Théâtre de Verdure from July 17 to 21. Even before the formalization of the program at the beginning of April, certain indiscretions of artists give us reason to rejoice. The Sporting, the Opéra Garnier and the new Place du Casino, these prestigious places will welcome the biggest international stars this summer on the occasion of the Monte-Carlo Summer Festival from July 11 to August 19. We will notably be able to find the star of Latin music Ricky Martin accompanied by the Monte-Carlo Philharmonic Orchestra under the direction of Yvan Cassar, a unique meeting scheduled for July 11. Or the British star Sting on the Place du Casino on July 23 on the occasion of his international tour “My songs”.

Nights of Real

Born following the Covid-19 pandemic in 2021, the festival Nights of Real continues its momentum with this 3rd edition from July 7 to 10 at the Théâtre de Verdure in Arcs-sur-Argens (Var). On the menu, French variety with Kendji Girac and Amel Bent. And a little touch of humor added with Kev Adams.

From July 13 to August 3, the Lives of Saint-Raphaël are back with evening concerts and shows at the Agora of the Palais des Congrès. On the bill Zazie, Christophe Willem and the actor Redouane Bougheraba.

Other events are planned such as concerts on the Palace terrace of Cannes, Guitar Nights in Beaulieu-sur-Mer, Urban Colors in La-Seyne-sur-Mer, the Midi Festival in Hyères and the Castle Festival at Sollies-Pont.
