Galicia activates walk-in vaccination for the first time, will this Saturday in authorized mass vaccination centers in the 7 Galician cities. Each health area will inform about the schedules. Anyone over the age of 12 can attend this vaccination session to receive the first dose, which will be Pfizer. In the case of minors under 16 years of age, the informed consent must be printed.
It is the measure decided by the committee to make getting vaccinated as easy as possible the less than 200,000 Galicians who have not yet done so. With that same objective and now that the course has started at the university Monday and Tuesday of next week vaccination points will be enabled in the seven Galician campuses. They can be attended by all staff, both students and teachers and administrative staff.
The goal is for the vaccination to end in Galicia on September 19 for people aged 12 and over, at least in the first doses. At the moment 92% of the target population has one, 85% have received the complete guideline.
Regarding the new protocol for the hospitality industry, It will be operational in a week, on September 15, with two levels of security.
Type 2, maximum, it will allow a capacity of 75% indoors and 100% on the terrace in addition to the use of the bar individually or for two people if they are living together. They must maintain a distance of one and a half meters between those seated at the table, continuous measurement of CO2, FPP2 masks for personnel who must undergo diagnostic tests every 7 or 14 days. In the case of restaurants, customer registration will be required. In addition, covid training will be given to the staff.
In type 1 premises with minimal security the capacity will be less, 50% indoors and 75% outdoors. Their requirements will be to maintain a meter and a half between tables, a CO2 meter with notes every 4 hours, surgical masks that will have to be changed every 4 hours, and training for staff.
The president of the Xunta, Alberto Núñez Feijoo thanked the hospitality sector for participating in the design of this new protocol. From now on it will maintain its activity outside the situation of the council.
