Oukitel has announced the launch of its WP21 smartphone, which is, by the way, a rugged phone that won’t let you feel the pinch of low battery. This well-built smartphone packs a 9,800mAh power unit inside, but disappointingly runs on a 4G chipset: a 6nm MediaTek Helio G99 processor. It comes with a 66W charging stand to consume that large battery.

The Oukitel WP21 has IP68 and IP69K ratings for dust and water resistance. Apart from this, the device has also achieved MIL-STD-810H certification, which enables it to perform well in all types of severe weather conditions. All of this means that the phone loses a lot of points in the thinness and lightness department, as it is 14.8mm thick and weighs 398 grams.
Oukitel WP21 is equipped with dual screens. The primary screen is a 6.78-inch screen with FHD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. Placed on its back surface is the second screen which is a small always-on display that can show you important information like time of day, notifications, music controls and more. It can also act as a camera viewfinder, allowing you to take selfies using the rear cameras.
Talking of cameras, the rear deck is decorated with a 64MP main camera with Sony IMX 686 sensor. There is also a 20MP night vision camera and a 2MP macro camera. The 13MP front camera has also made its way to the Oukitel WP21.
But the spotlight is definitely overshadowed by the 9,800 mAh battery, which promises 68.5 hours of talk time, 12 hours of video viewing and 35 hours of music listening. You can even use this battery to charge other devices with an OTG cable. The MediaTek Helio G99 processor in this phone is paired with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, expandable via a microSD slot.
