The residents of a building in the urbanization of Montélios, in Real, Braga, are disgusted with the situation of a neighbor who lives in an apartment without any living conditions and whose nauseating smell spreads throughout the building.
The man in his 50s, an alcoholic, accumulates garbage inside the house, where he has no water or light and throws his feces into the garden.
The individual has lived in that apartment on the second floor for 12 years, but the situation “started to get worse five years ago”, tells O MINHO Adolfo Reis, president of the Montélios e S. Frutuoso Residents Association, stressing that , since then, he has spoken with the most diverse entities: board, council, Braga Habit and health delegation.
“Our main idea was, first of all, to try to get you out of that house to give him some care, because he really needs it”, says the president of the Residents’ Association. “When we try to talk to him, he is very aggressive,” he adds.

“It is always the residents who complain and he spoils everything at home,” says Adolfo Reis, stressing that the neighbors placed air fresheners in the three-story building with more than ten apartments to try to hide the nauseating smell.
Without water at home, he does the necessities at home and throws them into the garden and also destroys common parts such as switches or even the door of the building.
“And you shoot people, it’s very rough,” says the president of the Residents’ Association, noting that the people in the building live in fear.
