Nick tied
It’s about Nick Stricker, a well-known Jan Smit impersonator and singer who has been successfully performing as the singer for over fifteen years. In 2010 and 2011 Nick even made it to the semi-finals of the RTL talent show My name is where he surprised the jury with his almost identical voice. The makeup people of The TV canteen did the rest for this episode.
Unknown talent
The choice for Nick betrays a preference of the makers in the eleventh season to appeal to people who are not directly known (inter) nationally, but who have a strong imitation in house. That turned out to be the case a week earlier with the parody of Martien Meiland.
