Elderly people, bereft of loved ones (love), languished in a nursing home during the darkest months of the corona crisis. They had to be protected, the government said. As much more vulnerable as they were to the virus than young people. But didn’t the long-term lack of contact hurt and hurt some elderly people much more than the risk of corona infection?
