TEMPO.CO, Jakarta – The Ministry of Transportation (Kemenhub) has issued a new regulation regarding flight domestic. All flights require passengers to have a negative PCR test result and also a Covid-19 vaccine card for at least the first dose.
Except, flight routes between regions outside Java-Bali with the same status (area of origin and destination) PPKM level 1 or 2. For this route, passengers may use only negative Rapid Antigen results and there is no obligation to carry a vaccine card.
“Yes, in the regulations, both in the Ministry of Home Affairs (Instructions from the Minister of Home Affairs, the Covid-19 Task Force, and the Ministry of Transportation, there are none,” said Ministry of Transportation spokesman Adita Irawati when contacted, Saturday, October 23, 2021.
Thus, all flight routes outside of these conditions absolutely use negative results PCR and show the vaccine card. The regulation is stipulated in the Circular Letter (SE) of the Ministry of Transportation Number 88 of 2021.
“Valid since October 24, 2021 and can be changed and repaired at any time,” said the letter, which was signed by the Director General of Civil Aviation, Ministry of Transportation, Novie Riyanto, on October 21, 2021.
In this SE 88, any flights related to Java-Bali are required to show the PCR results and vaccine cards. Then, flights between regions outside Java and Bali which are still at level 3 and 4 are also required to have PCR and vaccine cards.
Even if the departure area is outside Java-Bali level 1 and 2, a passenger is still required to have PCR and a vaccine card. The obligation applies if he wants to fly to level 3 and 4 areas, or vice versa.
For this reason, passengers must know the level of their destination before deciding whether to take the PCR or Antigen test. Because, this will determine whether passengers are allowed to fly or not.
