“This is looking good across the country.” Donald Trump’s tweets on election night – Observer

It was with hip movements and fists instead of words that Donald Trump chose to open the hostilities of the US election day on Twitter. It was not yet 3 am in Washington, and the president of the United States was already sharing in his social network of choice the one who was expected to be the first of many tweets throughout presidential Tuesday – but it turned out to be the only one for hours on end.

As usual at his rallies, Donald Trump chose to go dancing and shared a two-minute montage of himself shaking to the sound of YMCA, from Village People.

The original video had been published hours earlier on the same network by an account called “4 MORE YEARS”, “Another four years”. The president signed below and asked in the caption: “Vote! Vote! Vote! ”.

After long hours of silence (but only via Twitter, on Fox News the president was making his stand and even revealed that he has “at least” 306 votes in the electoral college – when 270 are enough for reelection), Trump again shared on that network .

Once again, video was the chosen medium, now with a less popular and more epic soundtrack. “This nation is our canvas and this country is our masterpiece,” Donald Trump is heard to say, as images of American flags — flown in public buildings and monuments, decorating soldiers’ helmets or identifying rockets in full take-off – they are happening on the screen and the rhythm of the music keeps growing until the grand finale. “My spirit is still young, the sun continues to rise, the grace of God continues to shine and, my dear Americans, the best is yet to come”, promises the president in a calm tone.

Lasting just over a minute, the video shared in the middle of the afternoon by the Republican was originally published on official White House account, which throughout the day has been far more prolific than that of Donald Trump and has multiplied in posts reporting on the president’s achievements over the past four years.

Less than an hour later, Trump went back online and made new retweet, this time from a video where he had already been identified eight days ago and which he was probably saving for this special occasion. “A stop for me in Nigeria, a great honor!” Wrote the still American president, who for almost three years scandalized by the anti-African immigrant speech from “shithole countries”.

The parade in question was organized by a Christian reverend and gathered hundreds of people last October 25 in Onitsha, a city 450 kilometers from the Nigerian capital, Abidjan.

According to a poll made earlier this year, and regardless of the 2018 incident, 58% of Nigerian citizens trust the American President – the Amish community too, came to say shortly afterwards, again through borrowed images, Donald Trump, now with a video of moving carts, presumably on the way to the polls, with “Vote for Trump” flags flying.

As the afternoon progresses, the 45th president of the United States has been sharing more on his Twitter account – but remains sparse in words. Here are two more videos:

At 6:30 pm in Washington, another five hours in Lisbon, Donald Trump returned to Twitter to comment on the fate of the votes that are now lurking as the polls begin to close in the United States. “This is looking very good across the country. Thank you, ”she wrote in capital letters.
