Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – After General Andika Perkasa was sworn in as Commander of the Indonesian National Armed Forces, now it is his younger brother, FX Bhirawa Praja Paksa, who is a middle-ranking National Police officer who is in the public spotlight.
Bhirawa Braja Paksa currently serves as Head of Propam Polda Metro Jaya. With the rank of Kombes, it means that he is just one step away from overtaking his brother who carries the rank of star on his shoulders.
Kombes Bhirawa stole the attention after Special Staff of the President Diaz Hendropriyono uploaded a photo of his family with the TNI Commander General Andika Perkasa. The photo was taken after the certification of the TNI Commander at TNI Headquarters, Cilangkap, East Jakarta, Wednesday (11/17/2021).
In the photo, there is also the former Head of the State Intelligence Agency (BIN) AM Hendropriyono standing between General Andika and Kombes Bhirawa.
Kombes Bhirawa is a 1996 Police Academy graduate. He has also held a number of strategic positions, including the Riau Police Traffic Director. The man who was born in June 1974 has also served as the Tulungagung Police Chief.
Kombes Bhirawa is the youngest of eight children. General Andika Perkasa himself was the fourth child.
Although his brother had a career in the TNI, Kombes Bhirawa did not follow in his footsteps. Kombes Bhirawa chose a career as a member of the National Police.
Bhirawa said that when he enrolled at the Police Academy, Andika Perkasa was the one who supported him the most. Andika bhakti provided facilities for Bhirawa to train.
“Yes, maybe that’s the way to go (becoming a member of the National Police),” said Kombes Bhirawa when talking with Mr detik.com, quoted on Saturday (20/11/2021).
“Oh yes, it’s amazing, he totally supports me and it’s not just when I want to enter. From junior high we have been given a basketball court, made poles for pull ups, trained physically,” he said.
When asked about his brother, who is currently the TNI Commander, Kombes Bhirawa said he was proud. He was also grateful and grateful to all parties because his brother was trusted to carry out the mandate as TNI Commander.
“First, thank God because everything is possible because of God’s will. Second, thank Mr. President Jokowi, who has entrusted the mandate to Mr. Andika.”
“Thirdly, thank you to all members of the DPR who have supported and approved him as TNI Commander. Lastly, to the entire community who have supported him so that he has become the current TNI Commander,” he said.
