This is how to check the IMEI of the cellphone if the BM Cellphone Block is applied

The government plans to implement the rules for blocking black market (BM) cellphones on Monday, August 24, 2020 today. Mobile operators prepare Equipment Identity Registration (EIR). The government set up a Central Equipment Identity Register (CEIR).

EIR will detect the IMEI number of BM cellphones and filter it into groups of illegal cellphones that are not registered. The telecommunication service will be blocked.

CEIR will be a reference for cellular operators to block cellphones whose IMEI numbers are not registered aliases BM cell phone. IMEI numbers that are not registered on the machine will automatically be unable to connect to the cellular network of operators in Indonesia.

This only applies to new phones purchased and activated per this rule. While BM cell phone which has been used now or previously connected to a cellular network, will have no effect. This means, it will still be used as usual.

4. If there are two SIM card slots on one cellphone, there are two serial IMEI numbers available
5. Furthermore, the 15 digit IMEI number can be checked on the https://imei.kemenperin.go.id/ site, whether it is registered or not.

IMEI check applies to all HP brands used by the general public. IMEI is a 15 digit number from the Global System for Mobile Association (GSMA) to identify telecommunication devices connected to cellular networks.

IMEI number registered with the Ministry of Industry when HP is about to be sold in Indonesia. The government then matches the IMEI number with the identity number on the SIM card or Mobile Subscriber Integrated Services Digital Network Number (MSISDN) from cellular operator data.
