Schwarzenbergplatz, Oper, Heldenplatz, Kärntner Straße, Mariahilfer Straße – Vienna’s streets are deserted in the third lockdown.
In Austria, a “hard” lockdown has been in effect again since midnight! All shops except for basic suppliers (supermarkets, drugstore chains or tobacconists) will remain closed until January 17th or 24th. Body-hugging service providers such as hairdressers, cosmetics or massage studios are also closed. Libraries and museums also had to close their doors again. Local can continue to offer take-away.
The exit restrictions have also been in effect around the clock since midnight. This is already noticeable on the streets of the federal capital. In Vienna, places like Schwarzenbergplatz or Heldenplatz are completely empty.
