Virologists from Boston University have been observing a puzzling symptom in Covid patients for a long time: some people have no cough, lung damage or noticeable shortness of breath – and yet their body suffers from a life-threatening lack of oxygen.
In the so-called silent hypoxemia, which you are seeing more and more in corona patients, the oxygen saturation of the blood sometimes reaches such low values that they should actually pass out.
