According to laboratory specialists Tencent Security Xuanwu, there is a weak point in fast chargers that could allow hackers to burn Android phones and laptops remotely. This fault called BadPower in fast chargers does not allow hackers to have access to personal data of the owner of the phone according to specialists.
The consequences of this failure in fast chargers are purely material. Add that they can also have a bad impact on the health of the smartphone user. The conclusion under study by these specialists was to avoid the use of chargers belonging to another person in order to be protected from damage that could cause this flaw in fast chargers and to update the most devices often possible. It seems that the majority of fast chargers have this problem. Out of 35 fast chargers examined, 18 have the flaw BadPower, that is to say more than half.
Abnormal charging power
Indeed, through the fault of this flaw, hackers of computer networks can have a hand on the charge of the phone. Thus, they could send a degree of charge power exceeding the normal, which could destroy the phone by burning it or at best lead to the failure of the device whether it is a phone or a laptop.
