A Serbian national, already convicted in 2017 and 2018 for driving without insurance, theft and attempted theft, was subject to a roadside check in Fameck on February 3. The man, who was driving without insurance, presented the police with a “grossly falsified” driver’s license, produced from an inkjet printer. He then explained that he had asked his brother, who remained in Serbia, to have him redo his license, while contesting the fact that it was not valid, affirming that he had indeed obtained it in his country. But what was this father of a family doing in Fameck, who has an obligation to leave French territory and who is under house arrest in Rambervillers?

Exempted from penalty
In his absence, it was his lawyer, Maître Jonas Olszakowski, who replied: “Monsieur is homeless with his family and lives in his vehicle.
