Former teammate defends Messi’s time in Paris!
Arsenal legend Thierry Henry (46) believes that it was not possible for Lionel Messi (36) to play his best football at Paris Saint-Germain alongside Kylian Mbappé and Neymar.
During his time in Paris, Messi scored 32 goals in 75 games and won Ligue 1 twice. Nevertheless, PSG was eliminated in the round of 16 of the Champions League in both years. In June, Messi finally moved to Inter Miami in the MLS.

The 36-year-old’s time in Paris was not without controversy. Earlier this year, the Argentine was banned for two weeks after an unauthorized trip to Saudi Arabia. There are said to have been repeated tensions between him, Mbappé and Neymar.
His former teammate at FC Barcelona, Thierry Henry, defended him to the French portal “RMC Sport” and explained that the structure and organization in Paris did not allow the three superstars to work together.

Messi got off to a successful start in Miami, scoring 11 goals in his first 11 appearances. Neymar also left PSG and moved to the Saudi first division club Al-Hilal. On his debut for the new team, he was booed by fans when he was denied a late penalty.
After these departures, Kylian Mbappé is now the most important man at PSG. There was also a lot of speculation about his future this summer. In the meantime, he was even banned from team training by coach Luis Enrique (53). But then he returned to the team and after four league games he has already scored seven goals. Most recently he scored twice in the 2-3 defeat against Nice.
