Thick fog again causes problems at Eindhoven Airport. All flights that depart from seven o’clock Monday morning are delayed. Around a quarter past eight, this meant that more than a thousand passengers had to wait for their aircraft.

Normally flights depart from the airport in Eindhoven from seven o’clock in the morning. The departing air traffic could not be started due to the fog on Monday.
Eindhoven Airport refers to the website for current information. Incoming air traffic, which normally starts around half past eight, is also affected by the fog.
The airport is often hit by fog. In the first week of January, three hundred travelers had to spend the night on camp beds at the airport due to thick fog banks. Air traffic was flat for a long time on New Year’s Day and New Year’s Day. And in December it was hit several times.
Also pay attention on the roads
Motorists in the east of the province also have to deal with fog. Moreover, it can be smooth locally. Britta van Gendt of Weer.nl says about the weather conditions: “The visibility is less than two hundred meters in some places and we have to deal with temperatures below freezing. That makes it slippery in some places.”
According to Van Gendt, the smoothness will disappear everywhere during the morning. “The fog will also increase. Only in the east of the province will it remain a bit stubborn. It can take a while before it disappears completely.”
Temperature
In the east of Brabant the temperature – because the fog stays there a bit longer – is slightly lower than average. There it will be 4 or 5 degrees on Monday afternoon at most. “In the west of the province, the sun comes through a little earlier. It will eventually become 7 or 8 degrees Monday afternoon.”
