The life insurance program for tenants and street vendors will be expanded for taxi drivers and tenants of private markets next year, informed the Secretary of Human and Social Development of the Municipality of Querétaro, Arturo Torres Gutiérrez.
“Another of the programs that we will be working on would be the ´Salud en tu tianguis y mercado´ program, where we will include our friends taxi drivers, it is a commitment of the mayor that he made in the last elections, where in addition to this insurance and medical attention to tianguis and tenants of public markets, we will be including tenants of private markets, as well as taxi drivers, “he said.
He indicated that the goal of serving 7,500 people among all sectors next year, after the previous year served in both areas – locals and tianguistas – a total of 2,796 people; and the death of seven beneficiaries was registered.
He recalled that it is a call, so the number of beneficiaries will depend on the people interested in registering. He pointed out that this program will support taxi drivers who have a card.
He said that this preventive program offers, in addition to life insurance, medical care.
He indicated that once the Expenditure Budget for 2022 is approved, they are waiting to define the programs that will have continuity, such as the scholarship program and the temporary occupation program that will have a new dynamic and a greater number of beneficiaries.
He added that they will also be working on the territorial regularization program, the housing improvement program, the condominium dignity program, support for civil society organizations and children’s homes.
