“They were worried”: Harry Potter star addicted to alcohol and kicked out of rehab center

“I went from not being particularly interested in regularly drinking a few pints a day, before the sun even set, to having a glass of whiskey to accompany each one,” he says in his autobiography entitled Beyond The Wand, released on Thursday 13 October 2022 in the UK.

If everything got worse for him after filming the eight films, his descent into hell had begun even before the saga ended: “It got to the point where I didn’t mind drinking while I was working. I wasn’t prepared, I wasn’t the professional I wanted to be. But alcohol wasn’t the problem, it was a symptom.”
