This vaccination campaign implemented by the authorities of the Mexican Social Security Institute (IMSS) of the Poniente State of Mexico Delegation, began last Monday and will end next Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., that is, They do not necessarily have to be eligible population.
“People can come without being entitled, it is for everyone. If they can bring their vaccination card better, but if not, they just come to the module, answer a few questions and we will apply the vaccine ”, mentioned one of the nurses.
The vaccines that are being offered, he informed, are the vaccine against influenza and also that of tetanus; The first, he detailed, is applied every year or during the winter season, and the second is every 10 years.
The staff indicated that so far the response has been good and the application has been very fluid, since those interested do not take more than five minutes to apply the dose that will allow them to strengthen their defenses during this winter season that is not over yet.
“I did not get vaccinated in November, but now that I have seen that they are offering the vaccine, I am going to apply it since the cold is still missing for the remainder of January and part of February,” mentioned a woman who went to the module installed in the Acoustic Shell.
Staff from the Mexican Institute of Social Security (IMSS), considered that the influenza vaccine is very helpful to the population, even when the winter season is on its way out.
“A vaccine helps you a lot, because the winter season is not over yet. Nothing is wrong with you, on the contrary it helps you a lot”, mentioned one of the IMSS vaccinators who was this Wednesday morning applying the biological.
Regarding the possible effects that the application of the vaccine could cause, they mentioned that could cause pain and feverbut can be controlled with a pain reliever.
In this regard, authorities from the IMSS Zona Poniente of the State of Mexico announced that this campaign is being implemented as a measure to reduce the chances of contagion, non-development of the disease and its complications.
For this, the IMSS joined the National Vaccination Campaign against seasonal influenza that began on October 3, 2022 and will end on March 31, 2023.
With regard to the IMSS western delegation, it was reported that the goal is to apply 652,300 doses, of which 579,300,000 have been applied, so there is progress of 89 percent.
