Faced with an upturn in Covid-19 infections, the President Andrés Manuel López Obrador affirmed that from today special treatment will be given to five states Veracruz, Oaxaca, Chiapas, Puebla and Guerrero, in which the vaccination strategy will be reinforced in those over 18 years of age.
“In the case of Veracruz, Puebla, Guerrero, Chiapas and Oaxaca, because they have many remote communities, are going to have a special treatment that begins today. In the case of Veracruz and Oaxaca, the Secretary of National Defense will reinforce vaccination ”.
During his press conference at the Naval Museum of this port, the Executive explained that in Chiapas the director of the IMSS, Zoé Robledo, will be in charge; in Guerrero it will be the Secretariat of the Navy, and in Puebla the National Guard (GN) of the Secretariat of Security, in municipalities with a smaller population but with many dispersed communities.

He said that he will be immunized with the CanSino vaccine, which is a single application in almost 800 municipalities in remote areas of those five states.
I am confident that by the end of the month 50% of those over 18 will be immunized and by the end of October this entire sector of the population will be vaccinated with at least one dose.
