A student from the Colegio Concepción was the victim of an attempted kidnapping yesterday Tuesday in the sector of Coihueco Avenue in Chillán.

The information was released today Wednesday by the educational establishment, through a statement, in which it was reported that the timely reaction of bystanders allowed the crime to be frustrated.

According to close sources, the situation would have occurred after 7 in the morning by two people who would have tried to approach a third-year student, without achieving their purpose.

“Upon arriving at school, the student receives support from the school coexistence team, from the rectory the pertinent procedures are carried out, calling the police to go to the establishment to receive the respective complaints. The entire procedure was carried out as established in the protocols for situations that have the nature of a crime, in addition, the student and her family were provided with support at all times by the school’s coexistence team, ”they reported.

As a result of what happened, the institution commented that it is adopting different measures such as increasing supervision at entry and exit times, in addition to limiting the opening and closing hours of the establishment’s perimeter.
