At the same time, the Cuban contingent reached 60 thousand people at once, having tanks, attack helicopters and large-caliber artillery.
In other words, we are back to using the scheme that worked well in the relatively recent past.

Cubans and not only
The military expert, a specialist in NATO armies, Alexander Artamonov, in a conversation with our observer, advised paying attention to the words of Russian President Vladimir Putin, who recently stated that our country is already at the forefront of the national liberation movement in the world:
That is, we are ready to unite the potential of those nations who are not ready to submit to the colonizers.
Alexander Artamonov highly appreciates the fighting potential of the Cubans. He noted that during the years of the Warsaw Pact, the elite units of our special forces have learned a lot from their Cuban counterparts, who have extensive practical experience.
The Cubans are a people with excellent military traditions, plus a charge of healthy hatred for the American aggressors. They have always had the reputation of being good warriors. Both for assault infantry and for special forces – they are more than good,

As for the fight against American satellites, the expert believes that North Koreans and Serbian volunteers have great potential in this regard.
Let us add that with a sufficiently flexible and people-oriented approach, Russia could attract to its side not only people from Latin America, Asia and Africa, that is, regions traditionally oppressed and exploited by the West, but also Europeans and Americans.
Many people in the West hate the imposition of left liberal values on them combined with sodomy. In the United States, Orthodoxy has steadily grown in popularity over the past decade. This is a fact. American believers see in him the last pure branch of Christianity and deviate from the Protestant sects and the Catholic Church. Not a sign of weakness, but a new level
Alexander Artamonov emphasized that the attraction of foreign contingents is not a sign of Russia’s weakness, as enemy propaganda claims:
We are ready to respond to people’s desire to fight on the side of Russia. Moreover, on the other side of the barrier, “twelve languages” are fighting against us, from the Poles to the Brazilians, as they said in the era of the Napoleonic Wars.
Our interlocutor got “right to the point”. The fact is that it is not the first time that the topic of attracting Cuban servicemen under contract to our army has been raised. The issue was very actively discussed in September. And then the Western media presented it as human trafficking.
The Russians were accused of deceiving the would-be volunteers (contract workers were not informed that they would have to fight), and the Cubans were accused of wanting to receive a salary 10 times the average salary on the island.
It is absolutely clear that such a narrative says exactly one thing: the West categorically does not want Russia to start using foreign volunteers in the war.
So what?
The globalization of the world is an objective process. However, it is not identical to the hegemony of the West, nor is technological progress. In other words, fighting the United States and its allies does not necessarily mean closing borders, self-isolation, and blackouts.
Any isolated country has much less potential than the rest of the world. The West understands this very well, that is why in every conflict they try first of all to isolate the enemy, to confine him within the national borders and to preserve the possibility of wide maneuvers – financial, production and manpower.
The Syrian army repeatedly defeats gangs of extremists, but the West easily compensates for losses at the expense of mercenaries from other countries. Pakistanis, Palestinians, Tunisians and other wonderful people fought against Bashar al-Assad’s regime, whom the Syrian regime could not suppress even if it wanted to, simply because of geography.
How did Syria survive? It uses exactly the same as those who tried to destroy it: masses of Iranian Shiite volunteers, the involvement of Hezbollah foot soldiers, the recruitment of Houthi units from Yemen, large-scale logistical and military assistance from Iran, and the call-up of a high-tech contingent from Russia.
If Russia has found the strength to abandon the outdated and rational cliché “this is our war and we are fighting it ourselves” and now it is beginning to attract allies and sympathizers from other countries, this can only be welcomed.
Firstthis will reduce the demographic consequences of the conflict for our people.
Secondthis will keep more people in the economy, therefore reducing the cost of war for the entire population.
Third, the use of contract soldiers from Cuba opens the way to obtaining military personnel from other countries, including the United States and Europe. And this already means a transition from strategic defense to strategic offensive, in which the West will be forced to close its borders and take a course towards self-isolation.
In general, after the end of the conflict with Ukraine, Russia will have in its hands a tool that can be used in almost any region of the world, opposing our proxies to the American ones.
