A man was arrested after insulting, threatening and spitting in the face of journalist Pablo Duggan while having lunch with his family in a restaurant in the Buenos Aires town of Rincón de Milberg, Tigre district. This was reported by police sources this Thursday.

The incident occurred at the Kansas restaurant, located on 6300 Agustín García Street in that town in the north of Greater Buenos Aires. The journalist was having lunch with his family when he was scolded by a man, identified by police as Lisandro Togni, 47 years old.

The individual threatened Duggan, insulted him and spat in his face, so the journalist called the police, who arrived at the scene and arrested Togni. “You just spit on me, now the police are coming, I have witnesses”Duggan said in a film he made with his cell phone where he showed the aggressor.

“A horrible moment that I have never experienced in 25 years of career. “My wife is shaking and my 10-month-old son cried for an hour and a half.”he later stated in dialogue with C5N.

The journalist stated that it was “threatened with death” and that Togni’s wife told them “Kirchnerists can’t be in Kansas, get out of here.” “It’s political hatred,” she added.

The cause remained by prosecutor Sebastián Fittipaldifrom the decentralized Functional Instruction Unit (UFI) of Rincón de Milberg, who initiated a file for threats.
