They rescue the three miners who were trapped in a mine in Lenguazaque, Cundinamarca

On the night of this Sunday, the three miners who were trapped in the Los Alisos mine, in the municipality of Lenguazaque.

The news was confirmed by the Governor of Cundinamarca, Nicolás García, who wrote on his Twitter account: “I am happy to inform the country that the miners trapped in the Lenguaza mine have been rescued safe and sound.”

The three workers remained trapped for almost five days, after registering a collapse inside the mine.

The relief authorities supplied them with air and liquid through a tube, while they advanced in the removal of the material that obstructed their exit.

“They are Juvenel, Manuel and Javier, the three miners rescued today, they are living proof that we must never lose hope,” said the governor.

For his part, President Iván Duque was also present in the area to accompany the rescue.
