The Lazio has announced the promotion to his Primavera team to Roman Florian, an 18-year-old soccer player who stands out for the surname inherited from one of his maternal great-grandparents: Benito Mussolini. The great-grandson of the Italian dictator has been a trend these days by playing in a team known for the far-right ideology of its ultras.
The defender arrived in 2016 to the ‘lacial’ team, coming from the eternal rival in the Italian capital, Roma. Romano confesses that he is not interested in politics and that he wants to focus on his career as a professional footballer: “At Lazio they judge me only by the way I play, not by my last name. I hope to make my debut in the Primavera team soon. “

Romano is the son of Alessandra Mussolini, MEP of Come on Italy and of Mauro Floriani. His mother prefers not to comment on the future of her son so as not to interfere and have her last name used to criticize him: “It is a subject that I prefer to stay out of. My son does not want me to meddle in his life and things“.

Alessandra already made the news a couple of years ago with a topic related to football. After a few images of Lazio fans on the streets of Glasgow doing the fascist salute, in the stadium of the Celtic, his rival, showed a banner recreating the death of Benito Mussolini hanging upside down.
