MADERO, TAM.- A campaign to invite the population to donate school supplies that will be distributed among low-income girls and boys from Madero will begin this Saturday.
The “Sembrando Attitud” foundation, directed by Isabel Moctezuma and Eduardo Pérez, has started this campaign to collect school supplies.
“We are inviting citizens to donate anything from a pencil or a pen, notebooks, an eraser for the most vulnerable children,” he explained.
At a press conference they pointed out that there are many students who are going to return to classes in person, but their parents lack sufficient resources to buy the long lists of school supplies.
“There are many children who have the illusion of returning to face-to-face classes after the pandemic, but the resource is very limited and there is not enough to buy all the school supplies,” they explained.
It will be from this Saturday August 13th until next Saturday August 20th at Degas Caralinda, Degas 1 de Mayo and Degas Ampliación where school supplies will be collected.
“The number of benefited children will depend on the amount of supplies that we can collect,” he explained.
They affirmed that they have received calls from some people who are asking for help and there are more in the municipality of Ciudad Madero, but the purpose is to help everyone who can.
“We can ask citizens from a pencil, a glue, scissors, everything works and adds up because the idea is to make a package of notebooks, pencils, colored scissors and glue that are essential basic things that children use.”
