As a result of the entry into force of the partial relaxation for Zulia, Governor Omar Prieto reported, on the afternoon of this Monday, August 10, that businesses such as bakeries, delicatessens and supermarkets – which had already been working – will be able to open until 4:00 in the afternoon.

Pharmacies will work 24 hours a day, said Mayor Willy Casanova.

The partial level 1 relaxation, which Zulia entered this Monday, includes the restart of operations in 10 sectors: construction, hardware stores, chemical raw materials industry, transportation, banks (from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm), mechanical workshops, auto parts, medical, dental and veterinary offices; textiles and footwear; hair salons and custom plumbing and refrigeration services, Prieto recalled.

Regarding public transport, he pointed out that the units will work from 7:00 in the morning until 5:00 in the afternoon, so that the personnel of the authorized sectors can travel to their work sites and homes.

“Only the TransZulia and Maracaibo Metro system with Youtong buses and 30 blue buses from the Maracaibo Mayor’s Office will function as public transport,” he said.

It also reported that circulation is authorized until 4:00 in the afternoon in private vehicles, as part of the flexibility scheme in phase 1.

The Bridge over the Lake will reopen this week until 4:00 pm and the toll collection is activated.
