“THREE REQUIREMENTS FOR TESTING”
Experts stated that quarantine conditions or isolation should be applied until the test results are determined, while the Covid-19 test is not legal in private laboratories. Corona Virus Scientific Committee Member of the Ministry of Health Dr. Ateş Kara said, “Three conditions are required in conducting the tests. If you have come from abroad, have a fever and cough, the test is done. The other risky situation has been in close contact with someone from abroad, and if you have fever and cough problems, PCR is also performed in this case. If there is a fever, cough, or lung finding other than these two options, a test can be performed at the discretion of the physician. It does not matter public or private, the tests must be done free of charge. The tests are delivered to the experts of the Provincial Health Directorate and the results are expected from this authority. The laboratory that will determine the results must comply with the criteria of the World Health Organization or international quality standards. ”
Professor Dr. Kara also pointed out that there is no permission from the ministry for Covid-19 tests to be conducted in private laboratories, “Suspicious cases should be quarantined until test results are available. There is never the case to call the people you test afterwards and report the results. You cannot send these people to their homes. In such a period, none of our citizens should go to the private laboratory and have the Covid-19 test done. The test person should be quarantined at that moment and isolated until the results come out. Positive cases can transmit the disease to many people outside until the results are announced. ”
“NOT LEGAL”

Dr. Mehmet Ceyhan, on the other hand, stated that the tests performed in private labarutavars are not legal, and private laboratories cannot perform Covid-19 tests for money until the Ministry of Health says “free”.
