It was during a teleconference chaired by the Secretary of Equity in Health of the Nation, Martín Sabignoso, in which the Undersecretary of State, Dr. Lucia Cebe, participated.
After the virtual meeting, Dr. Cebe said that in the province there are two models of care working at the moment. One in favor of the Covid contingency plan, in order to mitigate the damage that the virus can do. And another planned and programmed model that prevents the patient from leaving his home, bringing services, medicines and vaccines closer to him. “All this defined a series of capacities that the staff now have and can be capitalized within the system,” he said.
He considered that the use of technology is essential to monitor patients for preventive purposes and also for monitoring chronic patients. “Teleconsultation and telemedicine are going to collaborate in this new care model,” he added.
“We also analyze the advantages of these models with teleturns so that we will never see more lines in hospitals and the times of the institution and the patient can be optimized. To this is added the electronic prescription, which benefits the person by not going to the effector, ”said the doctor.
Finally, he said that it is important to note that biosafety regulations and the fact that people go out less “made us practically not have respiratory diseases. This helps us for the future, to learn that with some measures we can reduce these pathologies. ”
