They also brought coronavirus from their stay in Františkovy Lázně or from a holiday in Lipno

From Thursday to Friday evening, laboratories in the region examined 410 suspected samples and 69 samples from self-payers. Out of a total of 479 samples, 38 were positive. Twenty-four women and fourteen men joined the patients.

“In sixteen cases, it was a contact with a confirmed case in the family and in four with a previously positively tested person in the workplace, so the quarantined persons were moved to isolation. Five people became infected at a wedding in the Strakonice region, one during a therapeutic stay again in a cluster in Františkovy Lázně, two during a holiday in Lipno, one in Prague, one in Brno and two in Kladno. We found out six new active cases in the Home for the Elderly in Libnič and the České Budějovice region. There are four clients and two nurses. All of them were tested for contact with one previously positively tested client, “said Kvetoslava Kotrbová, director of the Regional Hygiene Station of the South Bohemian Region (KHS).

“Today, we recorded another eight cases in the region, when teachers or pupils of several South Bohemian primary and secondary schools fell ill, only in Bechyně at the Fr. Křižík has added three more cases among pedagogical staff. The other three new cases today were university students. In this context, I draw attention to the changes in the methodological approach to the determination of quarantines in schools, which will enter into force on Monday, September 7. Today’s methodological instructions can be found on the website of our hygiene station, “added director Kvetoslava Kotrbová.

Where there are mandatory veils:

From 1 September, measures of the Ministry of Health are now in force throughout the Czech Republic, concerning, inter alia, the obligation to wear veils in certain public institutions, medical and social facilities and the like. Due to the significant daily increase in new cases in recent days, South Bohemian hygienists recommend the preventive wearing of drapes beyond these measures. Especially in closed places with a higher concentration of people due to the protection of people in risk groups.
