They allocate more than $2 billion for social organizations in Ñuble – La Discusión

With an unprecedented call of more than 1,500 people, the Regional Government of Ñuble delivered the 8% FNDR Subsidies, which benefited 950 projects presented by the social organizations of Ñuble. This year’s investment amounts to $2,701 million, which will allow initiatives to be carried out in the Culture, Sports, Social, Security, Environment, Senior Citizens and Gender Equity funds.

It was on the Esplanade of the Public Buildings that the Regional Governor, Óscar Crisóstomo, accompanied by the regional councilors and mayors, made a symbolic delivery of the resources to some of the benefited groups, while the team from the Social Development Division Human Resources of the Regional Government, received the necessary documentation for the financing of the chosen projects.

In this regard, Governor Crisóstomo assured that this was a “very significant ceremony for our region; It is the first time that we benefit so many social organizations, there are 950 groups that will develop different projects for the environmental field, gender equality, public safety, senior citizens, culture, social and sports. There are seven lines that we have worked on in a budget close to $2.7 billion that we have arranged so that our communities have activities and actions that reinforce their work.” And in that framework, he reiterated that “this type of financing is tremendously necessary, and we want to point out that the 2024 budget, submitted to Congress, generates a risk for this type of initiatives next year, therefore, we also want to ask the Central Government and parliamentarians, to support so that social organizations can continue carrying out this type of activities that allow them to strengthen their communication networks in each of their sectors, but particularly, in how the neighbors remain united and generating the social fabric that is the most important thing for us.”

Additionally, he announced that “we are going to have 250 additional organizations that, through the municipalities, where we will only finance public safety projects, I believe that this is the most important investment project that this Regional Government has made in conjunction with the Regional Council.”

1,700 projects presented

In that sense, Councilor Alberto Jarpa commented that “1,700 projects is a significant number of initiatives that were submitted to the Regional Government of Ñuble; I believe that this participatory democracy and how resources are allocated to communities is fundamental, here we find functional and territorial organizations that have found an important source of financing, initiatives that are also valued by the community, I would say that it is an echo of the need that neighborhood associations and organizations have that aim for financing and that, clearly, we are responding immediately to those needs that are raised by the organizations.”

For his part, Councilor John Polanco recognized the work carried out by the Social Development and Security Commission, “more than 2.7 billion pesos were approved and were designated for these 8% funds and, in many of them, it was possible to achieve the fulfillment of many dreams, recover public spaces, in addition to incorporating surveillance cameras, which is what our region requires most, we appreciate the participation of neighbors, more than 1,700 social organizations and non-profit institutions, which today “It is materialized thanks to this prompt delivery of resources.”

The president of the San Pedro Nolasco Senior Adult Club, María Villablanca, said she was “happy that we have earned this beautiful opportunity to go out and relax, since we have gone through so many things in our families, happy and that all the clubs have this joy.” that they remember the older adults so that we can go out. The project consists of purchasing therapeutic material and this will help them to have their therapy with the speech therapist.”
