These podcasts that retrace the history of the AU …

As part of the 50th anniversary of the University of Angers, audio testimonies were recorded by the Association of Retirees of theUA (ARUA). These podcasts give voice to the pioneers of the establishment and are available online on the site of the 50 years and Spotify.

From the origin of the faculties of law, letters, science and health, to the balls of theIUT, through the digital shift undertaken in the 2000s, without forgetting the creation of Istia (now Polytech Angers) or the visit of Lionel Jospin… Revisit the history of the University of Angers in all its forms thanks to forty (and soon fifty!) podcasts.

Divided into six parts (genesis (before 1971), beginnings (after 1971), development, innovation as a driving force, life inUA and words of presidents), they retrace 50 years of history from the point of view of the key players of the time: former teachers, administrative and technical staff, first presidents and students share their memories.

We discover the complicated beginnings ofUA due to the rudimentary premises or a lack of personnel, then the first trainings offered. Also detailed are the arrival of the Internet and its consequences, or the student demonstrations of 1975. Behind these years of construction and development, it is also a certain history of society that is told there.

And then, how not to revel in these precious testimonies, halfway between confession and the funny anecdote, of those who have contributed, each in their own way, to writing the history of the University of Angers.

Podcasts can be found on the site dedicated to 50 years of the’UA Or on Spotify.
