The corona pandemic is drawing ever larger circles. Hesse is also represented with three cities in the sad ranking of the worst corona hotspots in Germany.
Frankfurt – With 16,774 new infections with the Coronavirus there was a new all-time high in Germany on Thursday (October 29th, 2020). More and more regions have the 7 day incidence exceeded 50 and are now considered a risk area. If you look at the biggest hotspots in Germany, Bavaria is particularly affected. This is where the counties with the highest incidences can be found.
Frankfurt is currently one of the corona hotspots in Germany. Police officers check compliance with the mask requirement on the Zeil shopping street.

Cities in Hesse are also among the German corona hotspots
North Rhine-Westphalia is also extensively colored dark red. But also in Hessen Three cities appear with particularly high incidences among the Corona hotspots: Frankfurt, Offenbach and Marburg. South Hesse and the entire Rhine-Main area have area-wide incidences over 100.
