Europa League winner Eintracht Frankfurt can hope for a return to the cup final. The Hessians of head coach Oliver Glasner have to deal with Union Berlin in the quarter-finals of the DFB Cup, but have a home game against the surprise team from the capital. That was the result of the draw on Sunday evening in the German Football Museum in Dortmund. The game will be played on April 4th and 5th.
Cup defender RB Leipzig has to deal with Borussia Dortmund, champion FC Bayern Munich welcomes SC Freiburg. The only remaining second division team, 1. FC Nürnberg, will play VfB Stuttgart in their own stadium. National player Jacqueline Meißner from SGS Essen drew the lot. The semi-finals are then scheduled for May 2nd and 3rd, with the final taking place on June 3rd in the Berlin Olympic Stadium.
