Composer Jēkabs Jančevskis comments on this unusual event: “It is an indescribable pleasure that during this changing time I will have the opportunity to experience the second author ‘s concert in less than three months. And to my surprise – a little, this music covers a period of about ten years – from the first years of study at the academy and the solo songs made at that time to very fresh, just premiered music. which, in my opinion, is as alive as we are. cactus and other living creatures, only music and nature! Vincent van Gogh once said: if a person truly loves nature, he can see beauty in everything. I offer my chamber music concert “BO-T-NI-KA”.

The authors and producers of the event are the association “Kultūras perons”: “The venue of the concert has been chosen symbolically – the conservatory of the National Botanical Garden is home to exotic plants. “has become a matter of survival. Let’s encourage us to think about the similarities between the human and plant lifestyles today – sitting vs. sitting down, and in a way we will romanticize this relationship. We are inspired to create events that allow us to look at things from a different perspective. Two We referred to the State Cultural Capital Fund’s project competition “Cultural Space” and its setting to create an event that can be implemented in any constraints by the end of 2021. We found a way to continue to inspire people by offering an adventure instead of the traditional concert format. Each time has its own unique people, its own special thoughts and notes currents. It’s beautiful to discover and get to know them! “

Due to national restrictions, it is possible to visit the National Botanical Garden and receive the plant on presentation of a Covid-19 certificate attesting to the fact of illness or vaccination and an identity document (passport or ID card).
