MLS announced the early part of the season for its teams for the upcoming season. One of the teams that gave much to talk about was CF Montréal by announcing that their first home game will be on April 17 against Toronto FC.
This will be something unprecedented since the two teams will be playing a regular season game on US soil. This is because of the restrictions imposed by the Canadian government due to the pandemic. For this reason the professional teams of that country have been looking for options and have seen a solution in the state of Florida.
The northeastern Canadian team will take advantage of the fact that Inter Miami begins its season the following day at the same stadium against the Los Angeles Galaxy.
In the case of Toronto FC, they will be playing home four hours from South Florida. They, like the rest of the professional teams in that city, have decided to go to the city of Tampa to complete or begin their seasons.
The length of time in which they will stay in those cities depends on how long it takes the government of that country to end travel restrictions on foreigners.

CF Montréal plans their preseason meticulously by being in their training complex to give them the last preparties before completing this stage in the city of Orlando, the city in which they arrive on April 6. They are expected to be there at least a week before arriving at the Inter Miami complex.
The league said the rest of the game schedule will be released in two weeks. This delay is due to some logistical details that have to be completed to ensure that everything necessary to play these dates has the least amount of complication possible.
