Technology is our future
After graduating from university, Anna started working for the advertising company “McCann-Erickson Riga”, where she realized that technology is our future and without it there will be nothing. It was my entrance into the world of technology. At first, of course, we didn’t know we were going to build several companies.” Anna adds that over the years, the initial realization that technology is our future has only intensified and is accompanied by the realization that technology is growing the fastest and taking over other areas. “Whatever interests us, we need to understand technology.”
Among the companies mentioned by Anna are “Berta.me” (a site that allows you to create your own website without any prior knowledge of programming) and the new company “Froont”. It is true that Anna, while maintaining the status of co-owner, no longer plays an active role in the companies – this decision was made for various reasons, including illness. Given that these are her first cherished attempts, it might seem that putting them in the hands of others has left a sweet feeling, but Anna laughs and says that it is not. “Very often analogies with children are sought in start-ups. There may be people who feel it as their own child, but I don’t have that feeling. I have children and it will probably be very difficult for me to start a world. It’s not hard to start a business. because I know I’ll always come up with something new. “
Anna reveals that the sweet feeling may be that it was a nice time together, and it is unfortunate that everything did not go as originally dreamed of, for example, companies could have been more financially successful. But she would not call it a great failure. Starting a business has been an invaluable experience that Anna has only learned to appreciate later.
