This has already happened after the Russian bombing of Ukraine on November 15: one of the transmission lines that supplied electricity to Moldova was automatically cut off.

Emergency blackouts have been introduced in all areas of the country. The power units of the South Ukrainian Nuclear Power Plant in Mykolaiv Oblast were shut down in an emergency, reported the Ukrainian media. Due to the frequency reduction in the energy system of Ukraine, emergency protection worked at two more NPPs – Rivne and Khmelnytskyi, as a result of which all power units were automatically turned off, reported “Energoatom”.
