Units of the Pereira fire department attend a raging fire which was registered in the heart of the Risaraldense capital. According to preliminary information, several machines are present on 17th street between seventh and eighth runs, the conflagration is registered in a building where several commercial establishments operate, so it is a matter of controlling that the enormous flare does not spread towards the adjacent buildings.
This is a commercial area in the historic center of Pereira, whose buildings are old and most of its structures are made of wood, reason why an alert is generated before the impossibility of controlling the intense fire.

There is still no official report of people affected, nor of the causes of the fire, but witnesses affirm that at least 10 people have entered the San Jorge University Hospital, among whom it is believed there is a minor.

For the time being, relief agencies are attending this emergency accompanied by local authorities to control citizens who have crowded around the site where the events currently take place.
