There are no active cases of Covid-19 in six other counties. In one municipality, the coronavirus has returned – Society and Politics – News

The only case of infection detected last day was registered in Daugavpils. Thus, there is again an active case of Covid-19 in this municipality. The data of the center show that the patient is between 30 and 39 years old.

Thus, active cases of infection are currently registered in 27 municipalities – Ludza, Cibla, Bauska, Burtnieki, Garkalne, Jelgava, Kocēni, Ķekava, Lielvārde, Madona, Olaine, Ozolnieki, Priekuli, Salaspils, Saldus, Sigulda, Stopiņi, Tukums and Valka counties, as well as in Daugavpils, Valmiera, Ventspils, Rēzekne, Jūrmala, Jelgava, Liepāja and Rīga.

The number of infected people in Riga has decreased by three, and currently there are 34 active cases in the capital. In the municipality with the second highest number of infected people – in Priekuli municipality – one patient has recovered, and currently there are 22 active cases.

It has already been reported that Covid-19 infection was detected per capita in a total of 1,716 tests last day.

Meanwhile, 988 patients have recovered, or 14 more than previously reported. Thus, the proportion of people recovering from Covid-19 is 88% out of a total of 1,122 people who were confirmed to be infected.

Since the appearance of Covid-19 in Latvia, 154,494 Covid-19 examinations have been performed. To date, 30 Covid-19 patients have died, representing 2.7% of all infections.

Data from the National Health Service show that there are no inpatients with Covid-19 in the last 24 hours. However, a total of four patients are treated in hospitals, three with moderate and one with severe disease. To date, 181 patients have been discharged from the hospital, including both those who have recovered and those who have died.
