There are 143 missing in Puebla; locate 40

143 new cases of missing in the last two months, this was announced by the head of the Commission for the Search of Missing Persons of the State of Puebla, María del Carmen Carabarín Trujillo.

The official attended the Transitional Commission for the Search of Missing Persons of the municipality where she reported that from December 1 to January 30, date on which she took office, they reported 143 missing persons (78 men and 65 women), of the which 40 have already been located; however, only 32 were found alive and eight lifeless.

This figure is added to the two thousand 998 missing that the Ministry of the Interior (Segob) federal recognized in its last report of January and the more than eight thousand cases that the collective Voices of the Disappeared in Puebla He recognizes in a period of eight years and that these are not part of the statistics, since people distrusted the authorities.

During the meeting, Carabarín Trujillo explained his work plan in which he intends to seek agreements in collaboration with all state agencies, State Attorney General’s Office (FGE), Superior Court of Justice, Human Rights Commission, with the 223 universities installed in the entity, hospitals, health centers, annexes, psychiatric and nursing homes, in order of creating a search network.

This implies work tables to look for the crime prevention, since disappearances are usually related to kidnappings, homicides, human trafficking, exploitation of minors and domestic violence, the state official acknowledged.
“If we act in an articulated way we can get that crime rate down (…) independent of the ALBA protocol and the Amber Alert, it is important to find missing persons as the first respondent”, said.

He also announced that he has knowledge of 12 collective of missing persons in the state, but only the Voices of the Disappeared have been worked on.
