What exactly is the’mutant virus’ that is spreading so quickly, and whether it can be prevented with the already released vaccine, reporter Yoon Jae-young discussed with experts.

Q1. South African mutant virus, emergence of a new virus?
Coronavirus has many bumps.
The projections are made up of over 1,200 amino acids.
A mutant virus from England and South Africa called N501Y is the 501st amino acid that contacts our body cells.
It is not the first time.

Q3. What is the effect on vaccine effectiveness?
Vaccine companies say the effectiveness will not change.
But it is difficult to say for sure.

The government said that this mutant virus has not yet been found in Korea.
